this was my attempt at a high falootin' fancy hair style.  it turned out to be more of a bun than a braid even though there was a braid up in there somewhere.  oh wells.

update to the previous post.

i got my 'lipstick' today.  yay.  i tried about 40 different colors and these were my top 3.

thoughts i had while trying the 40 different colors.

1. matte. all the way.  i don't do shiny.  unless it's gloss.  that i can do.  so weird.

2. i hope i cleaned these good enough.  i don't want a surprise in 2-3 days.

3. do i need to wax my upper lip.

i ended up choosing the nars velvet matte lip pencil in train bleu.  i don't know why it's called train bleu.

i know nail art is the new lipstick but still.  i want some bomb lipstick.  the best lipstick i have is a bright red matte color from revlon.  that my friend gave me for free because she got it for free after the revlon run/walk.  approximately 5 years ago.

gross? quite.

so now i'm on the prowl.  any tips on where to get these colors?  any brand faves?  i haven't shopped for lipstick in 15 years.  i'm shy.

two timeless rules in fashion. if there is such a thing.

first. you can never be wrong with an arsenal of texture.

this is an outfit i wore a few weeks ago with animal print, lace, lurex silk, cashmere, and leather (shoes). a lot going on, but muted in color so not as look-at-me-look-at-me. (i'm shy.)

and second. red party lips, means party. and let's be honest. partying never goes out of style. (not as shy when i'm partying.)

got my teeth cleaned. picked up clothes at a tailor. went to another tailor to get a sweater hemmed (this is apparently muy dificil).

heading out in a couple of hours to drink and eat and then drink a lot more.

time to pick out my outfit. tata.
